The remodeled Great Eastern Hotel is the first of Hyatt's new Andaz brand to be launched, with further hotels to follow this template. Signage is a key part of the guest navigation of the hotel which is often overlooked or considered too late in the design process.

Clifford Grauers, General Manager specially asked interior and graphic design consultants to work together from an early stage. The signage needed to be 'non-invasive' and should not scar the new interior.

Exterior signage was extremely understated at below eye level.

Internal signage was provided using light boxes set into the wall or projections on to the wall and floor.
